Today is the start of the Dormition Fast, an optional, 14-day fast awaiting the Great Feast of the Dormition, or falling-asleep, of the Mother of God, the Theotokos and Blessed Virgin Mary. This will be the first Akathist featured in my E-Casoslov series. I apologize if the chanting is slightly incorrect, this is the first time I have changed an Akathist so I have just intoned it instead.
