CLICKBAIT Season 2 Release Is Still Possible on Netflix: With a New Story and No Adrian Grenier

Hey, guys! Here is what we know so far about the possibility of Season 2 of Clickbait, the new Netflix Original thriller drama series. First of all, the American-Australian Netflix series was initially billed as a mini-series, with just one season. Also, if you watched the entire first season, you should know that, by the finale, the main mystery was resolved and all other storylines, like that of Matt and Tara, were also tied up. However, even with the definitive conclusion to the main story, there’s still hope for Clickbait Season 2. And here is why. Netflix makes all renewal decisions based on a show’s performance, and with the current solid IMDb viewer rating of 7.2, the more people watch Clickbait – the higher the renewal chances. Let’s hope that the star power of Entourage alum Adrian Grenier draws in a larger audience. Secondly, many TV series, like Nicole Kidman’s Big Little Lies, were billed as limited series only to get renewed once they became popular. Most importantly, despite the fact that the story got a definitive ending, Clickbait could easily be made into an anthology series, similar to The Sinner, where each new season has a new story and a new cast. Especially considering the fact that Clickbait brings light to very important subjects of how social media brings out people’s darkest impulses and the dangers lurking inside the internet space.
