Boiling Point of an Organic compound :-
Boiling points are useful physical properties for indicating the purity of an organic compound. Boiling point is the temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid equals atmospheric pressure or some other applied pressure. Since the boiling point of an unknown sample under the same conditions (e.g. same pressure) is a constant, a measured boiling point can be compared to known values. Boiling point helps identify and characterize a compound. The boiling point of a liquid decreases as the atmospheric (or applied) pressure decreases.
