'Early AC/DC' - Angus, Malcolm and George Young, 1973 (Marcus Hook Band remix)

Описание к видео 'Early AC/DC' - Angus, Malcolm and George Young, 1973 (Marcus Hook Band remix)

Remix of Marcus Hook Band's Goodbye Jane, to highlight guitar playing of Malcolm and Angus Young.

The Marcus Hook Band was a studio only band created by George Young after The Easybeats fell apart in the UK. Recording back in Australia, teenagers Angus and Malcolm Young joined older brother George in the studio, contributing lead and rhythm guitars, and slide guitar. In this month of late night, mostly drunk sessions, formative versions of AC/DC's TNT, Live Wire and Soul Stripper were laid down.

These are the first studio recordings for the future founders of AC/DC. The Marcus Hook sessions in 1973 were where AC/DC really began, where George Young began pouring the concrete of AC/DC's foundations. They established sound, guitar tone, even some of the attitude..

The Marcus Hook Band also included:

Harry Vanda
Alex Young
Ian Campbell
Freddie Smith
John Proud
Howard Casey
