What Made SummerSlam 2002 So Special?

SummerSlam 2002 is one of my favorite shows ever and is legit one of the greatest pay per views of all time. This show came during an interesting time. 2002 was a down year for the company, the Attitude Era wrestling boom was over, Austin had walked out on the company, ratings were down. Raw and Smackdown had split but television itself was just not good. Bad feuds, boring storylines. It was rough. However, then WWE started to do some major changes in June of 2002 and started preparing for SummerSlam 2002, and in the end, they had one of the best shows of all time. Let’s go back in time and take a look at SummerSlam 2002
