Yet another tune added to Tuba Skinny's repertoire of well over 400! It's new to me, but Dr. Google tells me it was composed by Joe Greene (1915 - 1986) and was first performed in 1951 by June Barton. It's clearly a very enjoyable 32-bar a-a-b-a- number, played here in the key of F. Phrases and chord progressions are reminiscent of some of the good ol' spirituals.

My favorite part of this performance occurs from 02:48 to 03:08, where Shaye takes the tune up at the Middle Eight and plays an improvisation over the chords of the next sixteen bars - the kind of unpretentious yet sublime improvisation that flows so often from her unique musical mind.
