On this episode of Creative Thinkers, biology lecturer Teslin Chaney joins Miguel to talk about how she came to be at EPCC. They discuss her roots and how her upbringing of art and science guided her through her academic and current career. Chaney stresses how creativity does play an important role in science and biology, and proves the distinction between a good scientist and a great one. Creativity, imagination, innovation, etc., are part of the process of being a scientist. They further discuss the different aspects of biology that show the importance of biology and why learning about biology should be encouraged and appreciated as a subject as a whole. Chaney's advice begins with a quote from Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." She encourages viewers to not be afraid to dream, imagine, or create.
