This is a rare television clip of The LeFevres singing several songs. The setlist and songwriting credits are as follows: "Oh! My Heart Is Still Rejoicing," written by Troy Lumpkin (LeFevre-Sing Music Publishing Company); "I'm The Reason," written by Colbert Croft/Joyce Croft (BMI); "Gospel Music" (Public Domain); and "Oh How Sweet Is The Victory," written by Vicki Kemp (SESAC).
This performance originally aired on November 19th, 1983, on Earl Carney's Gospel Songs Sunday morning show on WXII channel 12.
The group members featured in this specific clip are Uncle Alf LeFevre (1st Tenor), Marla LeFevre (Soprano), Scott LeFevre (Bass), and Rick Campbell (Baritone).
A little group history: The original, legendary LeFevres group retired in 1977, at which point the name was retired, and the group became known as the Nelons. However, Alphus "Uncle Alf" LeFevre later put together a new iteration of the group, first billed as Uncle Alf And The LeFevres, and later simply The LeFevres. This later lineup featured several other notable talents over time, including future Nelons member Karen Peck (of Karen Peck and New River fame) and Todd Nelon.
This clip was discovered by Marcie Gray, a niece of the LeFevre family.
