FIR Against Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa In Contractor Santosh Patil Suicide Case

The Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code which amounts to abetment of suicide.

Eshwarappa and his aides, Basavaraj and Ramesh, have also been named in the FIR. The complaint was filed by Santosh’s brother, Prashanth, and the case was registered in Udupi.

Contractor Santosh Patil, who had accused Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa of corruption, was found dead in a lodge in Udupi city on Monday. Prima facie, the cause of death was suicide, police said.
