Prevost® Aware™ Adaptive Cruise Braking by Bendix® (BW5001)

Описание к видео Prevost® Aware™ Adaptive Cruise Braking by Bendix® (BW5001)

Prevost® Aware™ Adaptive Cruise Braking by Bendix® is an innovative approach to adaptive cruise control for Prevost motorcoaches. This video demonstrates the Prevost Aware driving experience. Prevost Aware Adaptive Cruise Braking by Bendix is an advanced technology that delivers warnings and proactive interventions to help drivers avoid collisions. Highlighting the technology's in-dash display, driver alerts, and active braking technology, the video also features demonstrations of how Prevost Aware works on the road. Using a radar sensor mounted to the front of the vehicle, Prevost Aware provides alerts and active interventions to help a driver maintain a set following distance between the motorcoach and a forward vehicle. With Bendix® ESP® (Electronic Stability Program) as its foundation, the system can help drivers mitigate collisions, rollovers, and loss of control. With cruise control on and speed set, Prevost Aware will warn and provide active interventions -- reducing throttle, engaging the engine retarder and, if necessary, automatically applying the foundation brakes. The Prevost Aware system may help fleets reduce accident-related costs by helping to keep drivers alert throughout their shifts, improve fuel savings as drivers stay in cruise control mode longer, and provide data to help with fleet operations and driver training efforts. The system is designed and delivered by Bendix, the North American leader in active vehicle safety and braking technologies. Ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle remains with the driver at all times. The Prevost Aware Adaptive Cruise Braking by Bendix system DOES NOT replace the need for skilled, alert drivers exercising safe driving practices, nor the need for ongoing, comprehensive driver training. Performance of the Prevost Aware and Bendix ESP systems may be limited by poor braking system maintenance practices and improper tire maintenance.
