YA: The Perspective Problem

I talk about how reading about straight white teenagers kind of freaks me out. Please let me know what you think! I have a lot to learn on this topic. To clarify: when I said the books that shaped me as a teenager were TBT, TCP and Jane Eyre, I am fully aware those are not Young Adult books. That was my point.
