(World Record 10/26/2020) Atelier Shallie DX on NO HOPE in

NO HOPE is the hardest difficulty in Atelier Shallie. It was DLC in the original version of the game and made for New Game+. All monsters have greatly inflated stats, including 5x HP, making them incredibly tanky and deadly. Bosses also get new skills.

I almost gave up on running this category because when I initially thought about it earlier this year (January 2020), I couldn't figure out a way to reliably kill the Sand Dragon in chapter 5. Thankfully inspiration struck in October and the rest is history :D

The route I used in this run took 100+ hours to create and test, and honestly exceeded my wildest expectations. I was expecting it to be a struggle to finish the game in under 4 hours, and I managed in under 3 with relative ease. Early versions of the route struggled on the last boss - taking 40+ minutes to kill it - down to what you see in this run. There are also 15+ minutes of minor and major mistakes in this run, the time can definitely go down way further. But I'm still very happy with it!
