In today's video, we delve into a common but frustrating scenario: a client without dial tone or Internet connectivity. Despite their ISP insisting it was an internal fault, we uncovered the real issue.

Upon arriving at the client's property, we headed straight to the garage where the lead-in cable meets the internal wiring. We disconnected the customer's internal cable from the lead-in. (Note: The client only had one phone socket inside, and the cable ran just one metre from the junction point.)

With the internal wiring isolated, we connected our Butt phone directly to the lead-in cable. The result? No dial tone. This confirmed a 100% external network issue—not the internal fault their ISP had claimed.

By accurately diagnosing the problem, we saved the client unnecessary internal repairs and proved that the fault lay within the network provider's responsibility.
