A solid cube and frustum cone are coaxial.A cube of 60 mm edge length is on the ground.The base diameter of a frustum of cone is also 60 mm and its top circle is 40 mm and height 60 mm.It is placed on the cube such that centre of top surface of the cube is same as the base centre of a frustum cone.We are drawing the pictorial view in the form of isometric.As we learnt that the cube can be drawn with the help of 30°setsquare taking all edges of equal length i.e.60 mm.Then the half distance of top surface edge can be taken and drawn centre line i.e.a chain line for the top of cube.As the height of the frustum cone is 60 mm take vertical distance from top centre of cube equal to 60 mm.Thus top centre point of frustum cone is marked.Through this point draw centre lines both at 30°intersecting at the centre.As the upper circle is of 40 mm diameter mark distances of 20 mm from centre on four sides on the centre line.Draw big diagonal, join big angle to front centre.After getting two points construct small radiis.Take big angle as centre to draw big radiis.Such a way completed top ellipse.On the top surface of cube also draw big diagonal.After joining big angle to front centre we will get two points for drafting small radiis but here only front half is to made dark and remaining back arc must be dotted on both sides, because the radial edge of cone which is invisible to be drawn dotted.Same way after taking big angle as centre for big arcs back side arc to be drawn dotted and front dark.Make all visible outlines dark including both edges of cone.Erase unnecessary work and finally write dimensions as given.Show front arrow.
