It doesn’t matter when you became aware of Nipsey Hussle or his music as long as you understand that he was not your typical rapper, street guy, drug dealer, or gang banger. Those were a part of the journey of a kid doing what he had to to survive the environment he was raised in, where so many get caught up and lose their life, or much worse stay alive but lose their soul to the streets and a forever street mentality in the process. He used those experiences to connect and be relatable enough to the people, to where he could reach them at any time, and was just about to really do it through the music, which a large % of rappers never learn or care to learn to do. He was a philanthropist, and entrepreneur, a learner and a teacher on a path to becoming one of hip hops greatest leaders even if it took a lot to realize after it was too late.
