My name is Viktor Kolbasov, and I've spent years on the bridge as a voyage planning officer. I've lived the long hours and the immense responsibility of planning safe sea routes , and I realized that the rich, structured data in our Electronic Navigational Charts was locked away. The most critical task, voyage planning, has been left behind by modern technology.

This project is my mission to change that. I am stepping away from the security of my €7,600/month career to dedicate myself completely to building Route Assistant.

What is Route Assistant?

Route Assistant is more than just software; it's a movement to bring accessibility and collaboration to maritime technology. It's an open platform designed to automate voyage planning and unlock nautical data for mariners and developers. By transforming complex chart data into a structured, navigable graph , the platform not only allows us to compute the safest, most efficient routes, but also to perform complex geospatial operations on different data layers. This powerful capability reduces the crushing workload on mariners and ultimately makes our seas safer.

Your support will fund 1.5 years of dedicated development to build this tool. This is an all-or-nothing campaign; if we don't reach our €100,000 fixed funding goal, all contributions are refunded.
