Hua Hin is a resort town in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand. The town has been a highly popular retreat for Bangkokians for decades due to its proximity to Bangkok, serene atmosphere, and numerous excellent seafood restaurants.

HOW TO GET TO HUA HIN

Most Thais, including me, drive to Hua Hin. However, driving in Thailand may not be safe enough for foreigners, and public transportation is not sufficiently convenient. I recommend requesting your accommodation to arrange private transportation for your group.

STAYING IN DOWNTOWN vs. SUBURB AREA

All hotels featured in this video are either located in the downtown area or the suburbs (10-15 km away from the town center). If you choose to stay downtown, it is much easier to access night markets, malls, and restaurants, as you do not need to drive or take a shuttle. However, the surroundings may be too noisy, especially at night.

On the other hand, the suburban area offers absolute serenity. I prefer this option because I want to relax and enjoy nature without being disturbed. Since I usually drive to Hua Hin, the night markets are only 10-15 minutes away. You just need to be careful at night, as you might miss your resort's alley.

Alternatively, you can call a taxi or use the hotel's shuttle to get to Hua Hin. This could cost $7 or more, which is pricey by Thai standards, but it is the most convenient option for guests who do not drive and choose accommodation in the suburbs.
