The Association for the Rights of Children in Southeast Asia and the Salinlahi Alliance for Children's Concerns conducted a RISING on February 12 at the Quezon City High School in Quezon City.

Filipino women and children's situation and the relevance of the International Women's day (March 8) was discussed by Salinlahi. Situation of dire poverty that forces children to work in their young age and leads to increasing violations of their human rights, was tackled.

Child rights advocates enjoined the students of QCHS to call and rise for genuine change in the system that perpetuates violence against children and their families.

Five hundred (500) students together with their teachers danced to the tune of the OBR theme and joined the global call of rising for revolution.

The ARCSEA and Salinlahi, as part of the Task Force OBR Philippines, are inviting everyone, young or old, in the commemoration of the International Women's Day on the 8th of March, 2015.
