Row Echelon Form and Reduced Row Echelon Form of a Matrix

Описание к видео Row Echelon Form and Reduced Row Echelon Form of a Matrix

There are two types of echelon forms:
1) Row Echelon Form REF
2)Reduced Row Echelon Form RREF

Rules for REF
1)The leading entry of each row should be to the right of that in the previous row., or rather when the leading entries are connected, it must have a staircase allignment. (Leading entry is the first non-zero entry of a row)
2)All entries below leading entry should be zero
3)Every other zero rows should be put below the non zero rows

Rules for RREF
Along with the rules for REF, if a matrix satisfy two more rules stated below, it would be then in a RREF
4)The leading entries should be equal to ONE
5)The leading entry (1) should be the only non zero element in its respective column

Check how its done...
