Today’s adventures at the Epping Ongar Railway in North Essex. Today’s bank holiday train service was a ‘Taffy Tank’ (on loan from elsewhere), that ran with four MK1’s from North Weald to Ongar, and a 2-car DMU that ran the shuttle from North Weald into the forest and back.
The steam loco made four return trips to Ongar, with the DMU running two full-round trips at the start and the end of the day, meaning six trains to Ongar ran.
Here are some photos we got, mainly at Ongar, but also some on the way back to North Weald and some photos of the NW station itself. A video of which should be uploaded on our YouTube account in the near future.
