Air Quality Measurement of Paints: Normal vs. Low-VOC paint

Описание к видео Air Quality Measurement of Paints: Normal vs. Low-VOC paint

Watch our simple experiment measuring the air quality index (AQI) of a Normal Wall Paint versus a Eco-friendly Low-odour Low-VOC paint

The 1-minute measurements were done for a period of almost 2 hours and the clear difference is observed between the two paints:

20 AQI: Low-VOC paint (low air-pollution level)
110 AQI: Normal paint (very high air-pollution level)

The Air Quality Index (AQI) scale for air pollution level is:
0 – 20 Low
21 – 51 Moderate
51 – 100 High
101+ Very High

The wearable battery operated (24 hours) air quality sensors used for this experiment are the Plume Flow 2 sensors that measure the following five air-pollution parameters with a 90-95% accuracy:
1) VOC, volatile organic compounds
2) NO2, smog from car exhaust
3) PM1, very small particles
4) PM2.5, small particles
5) PM10, particles
