Morning Glory Pool is one of Yellowstone's most iconic sights, with its brilliant palette of colors! Unfortunately, the reason that it is so colorful, is because it is dying, as you can see in this video.

Morning Glory is located at the north end of the Upper Geyser Basin, all the way on the far side of the trail from Old Faithful. The walk there is 25 to 30 minutes from Old Faithful, and because of this, many visitors to the Upper Geyser Basin don't make the effort to get there.

It's well worth it! Not only do you get to see Morning Glory, but you pass some of Yellowstone's other iconic thermal features on the way, including Castle Geyser, Grotto Geyser and Riverside Geyser, as well as the turn offs to Daisy Geyser and Giant Geyser.
