Cher's "West Side Story" Remake | Bad Music Video Theatre

A big discussion has sprung up around Steven Spielberg's remake of West Side Story: the validity of remakes in the modern age, the question of accurate representation, and worries about accuracy from the source material. If anyone can attest to these problems firsthand, it's Cher.

In 1978, Cher performed a medley of selections from West Side Story as part of her last big TV special. Not content with just being a talented singer and performer, she decided to stretch herself by playing all of the parts. It went just about as well as you'd expect.
