What Is Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)? How Will It Benefit Employees?

"The central government has unveiled the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) on Saturday intended to provide government employees with an assured pension, a family pension, and a guaranteed minimum pension.

Under the UPS, which will go into effect on April 1, 2025, employees with at least 25 years of service will receive a pension equal to 50% of their average basic pay for the previous 12 months, providing them with increased financial stability.
