The search for an online tutorial to learn CorelDraw started few months ago and with thousands of videos and resources available I was so intimidated, first by the software and then also with the volume of resources available online but most of it was just same stuff repeated by another person. And everyone just touched upon the surface and nobody went into the details of each tool or topic, which was very frustrating. Because of the sheer volume of content available on all the websites I thought of giving up my wish of learning CorelDraw altogether and then I stumbled upon this video by accident.

I am sharing it because I'm certain that this will help you a lot in getting started with CorelDraw. There's plethora of content on YouTube. But if you are a beginner and want to learn the basics of CorelDRAW and you have surfed through a lot of channels, websites, YouTube videos and are tired of finding quality content, then you should stop looking and give it a try.

This is a very old video originally created by one of the champions of CorelDraw, Scott Georgeson. He has taught CorelDraw since the late 90's and this video covers all the basics of CorelDraw in great detail.

Although the version used in this video is old but for beginners it is a much watch because you will learn the basics and the basics remain same pretty much in all the future versions of CorelDraw, be it X7, X8, 2017, 2018 or 2020. This video may be old but for for absolute beginners it is the most relevant one that I have found so far.

Some important notes though:
The accent is Aussie, so if you are uncomfortable with Aussie accent then you might have difficulty understanding.

I do not have explicit permission from the author to publish the content but I'm assuming that since the video is too old the author would not have any issue if it is used today and people learn from it.

As for the exercise files. They are missing and I am trying to find them. If I get my hands on them, will surely share with you guys.

Don't watch the entire video in one go. Try to break the video in smaller parts and practice alongside so that you get a hang of the software and all its features.

If you are using CorelDraw X7 or X8 then this is most relevant video for you. Some features may be different and the windows may appear differently but those differences will be minor.
