In this video, I demonstrate how to change your power button settings to prevent launching Gemini. If your phone keeps opening Gemini when you hold the power button, these steps will help you customize this function.

I explain where to find the power button settings in your Android system. Learn how to either completely disable the long press action or reassign it to power off menu only. This works on most modern Android devices with this feature.

You can use Gemini Activation on Swipe gestures or on long home press if you want to use the Gemini AI assistant but keep the power button functionality for your phone’s side button or power button.

The process may vary slightly depending on your Android version and phone model. I show you the settings location in stock Android and manufacturer skins like Samsung's One UI. If you can't find these options, I suggest alternative solutions like using different power button behavior.

After following these steps, long pressing your power button will no longer open Gemini. I also explain what to do if your device doesn't offer this customization option.
