22" Craftsman Platinum EZ Walk Mower in Action & Showing Some Features

This is my 2009 Craftsman Platinum EZ Walk self-propelled mower with a 675 Series Briggs & Stratton 190cc 4 stroke single cylinder engine. This mower has the optional electric start system (Key start), but it was not working in this video because it has a cracked/broken wire terminal in the harness connector that connects to the key start switch. This mower also has the manual pull start in case the electric start battery is low or is not working. These Platinum series mowers have a Smooth Start Plus system, the Smooth Start Plus has a special ignition coil that sparks at a slower speed so it reduces the amount of pulling force required to start the engine. Anyways the battery these mowers use are small 12v lead acid batteries which are rechargeable and take 24 hours to fully charge. These mowers also have a 3n1 deck which means you can mulch, side discharge, or bag the grass clippings. Also these mowers have built in deck wash ports, so you connect a garden hose to the port, run the water and mower for 2 mins and it will clean the underside of the deck so you don't have to flip over the mower to clean it. When you bought these self-propelled mowers back in the day, you could get one either with a RWD option, or FWD option, this particular mower has the FWD option. Only one of two cables are functional (Bagger door assist), the engine brake cable has snapped this summer. I will replace the zone control assembly next year. Currently the engine brake spring is removed so it will continue to run and mow the lawn for this year.
