Texture is easy to achieve using milk paint. Make it slightly thicker or bring on the hairdryer. Hold the hairdryer closer to get some crackle too. On this project, we were applying milk paint onto a high gloss lacquer finish. Wait : Milkpaint can’t go directly on shiny finishes!!!? That’s correct so, after cleaning the surface, we simply applied a thin layer of first followed by Steel blue in the milk paint. We achieved crackles by using the hairdryer for a minute while it was drying. Our next coat is a muted soft pink called Bouquet. Sealed with the clear wax first and then used our Antiquing wax for age and get those small crackles to pop for the old world charm look. What do you think about the results?
