Calico Ghost Town - Odessa Canyon Mine Explore

In this video we explore a 3300 foot long adit in the hills near California's Calico Ghost Town. This was one of the major silver mines of this area and dates back to the late 1800's. The adit has some interesting features like wooden chutes, stopes, ore passes and ore car tacks. The tracks are made from a 2x4 laying on edge with a steel strap fastened to the top of it for a wear surface. Towards the end of the workings there is a distinct temperature change. The temperature and humidity both go way up and it gets very hot and uncomfortable. There is also a connection to an adit that is at least 100 feet above this one that is burned.
