Want to know how to add details to a painting after it dries? Today I’m doing another “Swipe,” but putting on a twist at the end! Once the paint was dry, I used a brush to add a shape to one end. Since there wasn’t much space in a square canvas, I chose the slim profile of an evergreen tree.

This painting was part of my 31-Paintings-For-The-New-Year series, to demonstrate many of the incredible techniques you can use in fluid art - great for beginners and experienced painters alike!

My paints are all mixed with floetrol (~2:1 floetrol to paint) and thinned with water, with one drop of silicone oil in all colors except the phthalo green. Paint-mixing video is here!    • Mixing Paint for Acrylic Pouring - START H...
