Intentional medicine – shifting the focus of healthcare | Libby McGugan | TEDxGlasgow

What are we really focused on in healthcare? In this talk Dr McGugan will explore how shifting the focus at all levels of the health system – patients, medical staff, NHS and media – could have a profound impact on health.

Dr. McGugan has been an NHS emergency medicine consultant for nine years, with experience in air retrieval and field hospital medicine. She is now interested in a broader approach to healthcare and has a number of research projects in development with the University of Strathclyde. She is also a writer and is presently working on a non-fiction book, Intentional Medicine: Shifting the Focus in Healthcare, and was nominated for best newcomer in last year’s British Fantasy Awards for the science-based fiction thriller, The Eidolon.
