For me, Gran Turismo will always be one of the most iconic racing games ever made. I think it was the first time a racing game felt so realistic — And all these incredible cars, the tuning, the licenses… everything was unique.

I remember spending ages trying to perfect those license tests. And saving up credits for the Dodge Viper GTS that I desperately wanted, then finally discovering that I couldn't control it 😂. Gran Turismo had that special mix of realism and pure 90s charm. It's thanks to the games intro movie that I always wanted a Nissan Skyline R33 GTR in real life (A Nismo 400r would be the dream 🤣).

From the classic menu music (each car manufacturer had its own dealership music) to the early model cars and the unforgettable circuits, Gran Turismo will forever be one of my strongest nostalgia hits on the PS1. 🚗💨❤️
