Welcome to another VirtualTrain! This week we are taking a ride on Metra's longest route; the mighty UP-Northwest line from Ogilvie Transportation Center in Downtown Chicago all the way to Harvard, IL in far Northwestern McHenry County, IL. At a whopping 63.2 miles long, it takes nearly 2 hours to complete the entirety of the route and is largely passes through all the cities with U.S. 14 (Northwest Hwy) as a main road through them. You guys might recognize this route from last June when we did the Chicago-bound trip.
