Dremel 8220 High-Performance 12v Max Li-Ion Cordless Rotary Tool Review

This is a well used 8220 Dremel and still works great, this is the first of the cordless Dremel's that actually has a usable amount of power and does not cut out all the time. it has a large spindle bearing and a canned motor but that has little ball bearings not sleeve bearings, the variable speed is also very linear and work well.

The biggest issue is that Dremel is owned by Bosch but does not accept Bosch 12v Max batteries because the batteries have a different bottom portion although you can charge the Dremel batteries in a bosch charger. it really is a shame that they decided to use a different molding for the dremel.

In the next video after this I will show what needs to be done to a bosch battery to fit into this unit.
