Experiments visualising stage lasers in Unreal Engine 4

Описание к видео Experiments visualising stage lasers in Unreal Engine 4

Here's a video showing some experiments we're doing, visualising a stage with Lasers, Lights and Ledwall in UE4, controlled by professional tools.

We're taking a video capture of the "Emulaser" video laser feature in the Pangolin Beyond Advanced demo to drive the beams in Unreal.

We modified the beam moving head lights from the example DMX project to take a video texture instead of a gobo so we can get full colour 3 dimensional beams in the air. They could do with some tweaking, but pretty excited to have this working!

We're also using the Unreal DMX plugin to get Artnet into UE4 from Grandma2 OnPc to drive the moving head lights in the roof.

We're using Spout to get video feeds from Resolume Arena to drive the Led wall. With content either rendered in Blender or from Unreal using nDisplay.

There's not tons of proper control going on here, just excited to have all the ingredients working and thought we'd capture a video of it - next step is actually creating a show out of it!

Thanks Dwaynarang on the Geodesic Games discord for their help when I got stuck.

Thanks Geodesic Games for creating the free DMX template and the fixture components we modified for the lasers.

And thanks to Mackenzie "Mad Mack" Platt aka PsyTec for agreeing to be locked in a room with us for nearly a week while we played with computers, made art and worked on extremely niche technical challenges.

Track is Dilate, by us 7 years ago.
