'The Dentist of Auschwitz: a Memoir' by Benjamin Jacobs (true name Berek Jakubowicz) is not the typical motivational or digital marketing reading recommendation you would expect from me, but I recommend it for the great personal development power that I have personally found in it.
Benjamin (Berek) gives a widely documented and quite detailed account of his and his family's life (and death) during WW2, in Poland, starting with the Anti-Jewish Legislation in the pre-war Germany and neighboring countries, and ending up with the deportation of hundreds of thousands (millions) of human beings into indescribable conditions. For a wide majority to their end. For a disbelieved minority, those who survived, the darkest chapter in their lives.
Benjamin (Berek) writes with a fluent rhythm, covering his 5 years in many concentration camps, along with his father Wigdor and his brother Josek, after they were separated from his mother Ester and sister Pola.
The story, a real one, is one of survival above all, of loss and rebirth.
What is NOT to consider appropriate for ANYONE's personal development?
