Live at the University of Mississippi: the Nutt Auditorium at Ole Miss. September 3, 2014. Composed and performed by Cornelius Boots.
Video by Charlie Miles, concert sponsored by Vandoren and facilitated by Dr. Michael Rowlett.

This piece was written in 1996 as a bass clarinet quartet: it was the composition that sparked the invention and subsequent promulgation of the heavy chamber music bass clarinet quartet known as Edmund Welles.
This is a solo adaptation of that piece that utilizes/demonstrates circular breathing, power tone, slap/pop tonguing, and improvisation.
"In a Crowded Comb" is movement one of "An Apicultural Excursion." Movements 2 & 3 ("Flowers & Honey" and "Escape from Bee Mountain") were written in 1997.
