The Art of Reversal™ is a term coined by my colleague, Nurse Amy Lynn @amybirksrn, for correcting filler irregularities or correcting unwanted outcomes while immediately replenishing volume with EZGEL PRF. This corrective treatment protocol has been an amazing bridge for patients that may be overfilled or are experiencing 'filler fatigue,' but they’re concerned with losing their facial volume.

Typically, we’ll do The Art of Reversal™ session, which includes ultrasound-mapping of the face, followed by injecting small amounts of hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler we are targeting. Hylenex is the preferred brand that we use in my clinic, but you can use any type of hyaluronidase to address the filler that's causing the excessive volume or lymphatic flow obstruction, or in some cases, patients just don’t want hyaluronic acid fillers in their faces anymore. Then, at the same time, either with ultrasound guidance or just with knowledge of anatomy, EZGEL PRF is used for immediate replenishment. My patients prefer this method so they don’t have to go through that kind of deflated looking phase, because hyaluronidase can cause a temporary dehydration of your tissues. We then ask that you come back in six to eight weeks and potentially do a second round of EZGEL PRF for optimal correction, so that you can really feel and look restored in terms of volume and contouring, in addition to the regenerative benefits including improvement in tissue quality and lymphatic flow. With The Art of Reversal™, we've had a lot of patients coming in that are now comfortable bridging from synthetic fillers to the all-natural, autologous EZGEL.
