The field trip, an integral part of the MAS curriculum, is designed to broaden students' knowledge beyond Geneva's Sustainable Finance ecosystem. In 2024, the cohort embarked on a fully funded trip to Tbilisi, Georgia, where they met with key institutions such as the IFC, the EBRD, the National Bank of Georgia, and a private bank - BlueOrchard. These interactions provided valuable insights into how these organizations implement their missions in practice and develop their Sustainable Finance Taxonomies.

Students also had the unique opportunity to meet investees—organizations that receive funding from these institutions. These discussions helped foster a holistic understanding of the ecosystem and its practical applications.

CFD’s strong ties with leaders in development finance and impact investing enable meaningful collaborations, one of which is the field trip experience provided to MAS program participants.
