Blockchain Accounting for Non-Accountants

Accounting is the common language for financial reporting.
Paul F. Dowding, the leader of the GBA's Banking and Finance working group will walk through the basics of accounting for non-accountants. He will outline the way to reflect the easy-to-understand fundamental accounting components for a business, a bank, other use cases culminating in the accounting for a synthetic prime brokerage total return swap!
The purpose is to both describe simple accounting fundamentals repeated in all use cases while justifying the criticality and legal requirement of accounting and why it is also essential for blockchains and how it can be implemented.
