The world of day boats continues to grow, and leading the charge into 2025 is Finnish boatbuilder Saxdor Yachts, unveiling its newest creation, the Saxdor 400 GTS. Scheduled for its global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, this bold newcomer highlights everything enthusiasts love about open-air cruising, combined with speed, comfort, and unmistakable style.

Day boats have surged in popularity in recent years, thanks to their affordability, reduced maintenance, and versatility. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned sailors, they provide an ideal mix of comfort and adventure. Saxdor’s newest entry, the 400 GTS, takes that demand to the next level with a spacious open deck, social-friendly aft layout, and thrilling performance capabilities.

Measuring 12.4 meters in length with a beam of 3.55 meters, the 400 GTS is built for social entertaining. Its semi-walkaround deck, T-top roof, and fold-down terraces create a welcoming environment that connects passengers directly to the sea. At anchor, these drop-down sides expand the boat dramatically, transforming the cockpit into a water’s-edge lounge.

Inside, convertible seating fore and aft provides maximum flexibility. The forward dinette quickly turns into a sunbed, while the aft twin sofas can rearrange for dining or transform into a full-beam lounge. Despite its focus on open-air daytime cruising, Saxdor has included two comfortable cabins below deck, making overnight stays possible for those who want to extend their adventures.

Performance, however, is where the 400 GTS truly shines. Built on the proven twin-stepped hull of the Saxdor 400 series, it’s powered by Mercury V8 and V10 outboards, delivering up to 850 horsepower. This setup allows the GTS to reach speeds of 50 knots, ensuring an exhilarating experience on the water. Lightweight vacuum-infused GRP construction enhances efficiency, while the sharp hull design guarantees smooth handling even at top speeds.

At the helm, three supportive seats are placed under the T-top, with an option to add sliding glass doors for more protection. A redesigned dashboard with dual floating displays and ergonomic controls ensures that the captain enjoys a clear, commanding view and a modern driving experience.
