An excerpt from the Pakistan television series "Payal" was banned after 5 episodes during the Zia ul Haq regime. It was the first time in the history of Pakistan Television to program the "Classical Kathak" series depicting the pure art form of Kathak in its pure and dignified approach. I am extremely grateful to Zaman Ali Khan to initiate this series of Classical dance Kathak for the first time in the history of Pakistan television It was produced by Shoaib Mansoor.
