In an extraordinary opportunity, as part of being invited to the Culinary Institute to talk about the vegan food scene in 2018 as part of their Food & Beverage Innovation Summit, Rebecca Moore (as founder of Hudson valley Vegfest and The Institute for Animal Happiness) was able to do an in-depth presentation showing the photographs of Joanne MacArthur, and talk about animal cruelty and suffering, animal sentience and rights, and make a case for ethical veganism to students, staff, attendees and the local media. The presentation was done twice that day, both times to full houses, and Hudson Valley VegFest was also able to bring in dozens of vegan food vendors for the tabling section of the event.

According to the staff of CIA, this was the first ethical vegan presentation done in their history... where food and culinary interests were not the sole focus, but the ethics and suffering of animals addressed and shown in detail. Sadly we only have short excerpts of the presentation, but are looking to find a full recording.
