Right time to plant green chilli :
Winter season (October-November)
Soil temperature :
Soil temperature for planting chilli: 10-30°C.
After planting, it may take about 6-8 days for the seeds to germinate.
How much light does chilli need :
Green chilli plant needs 4-6 hours of sunlight. Therefore, the chilli plant planted in the pot should be kept in bright sunlight.
Method of watering chilli :
In summer, water the green chilli plant planted in pot or grow bag every day. In winter, water only when the soil of the pot is dry.
When to add organic manure to chilli plant: good quality organic manure like cow dung manure in the soil with 1:1 ratio before sowing seeds. The organic manure can be well-rotted cow dung manure, or vermicompost.

When the green chilli plants are 45 days old, add 1-2 handfuls of vermicompost or cow dung manure or compost made from kitchen waste in the soil around each plant.
Pest protection:
Always identify the early symptoms of any insect/fungal/any other infection. Spray appropriate medicine or neem oil as soon as any symptoms of such diseases appear.
When are chillies ready to be picked:
You can start picking green chillies after 60-90 days of planting chilli plants. Due to which chillies can be harvested for the next 3-4 months.Best Quality HDPE Grow Bag
