On this episode of Where the Locals Sk8, We meet local skateboarder Chris Pike representing Chino, CA.
When Chris was in preschool, he took his skateboard to show and tell. His family was very supportive, his mom used to surf and skate, and dad would help build DIY obstacles for him to skate. He grew up skating with Jason Elrick. We talked about skate spots they would hit up, like Chaffey High, Powell skate zone, and more. We learn about his board setup, dream sponsors, and shoe talk. We ask if DIY spots are skate video part worthy? We also talked about how skateboarding is important for mental and physical health, hobbies off the board, and, of course, the crazy question.
