Gamara || Sathu - Aathu 2021 || Kumauni Culture ||

The culture and heritage of Uttarakhand is very rich.
This festival begins on the fifth day of the month of Bhadrapada. On this day five or seven grains are mixed and soaked in water in a brass vessel which is celebrated as Birudapanchami festival and two days later, on the day of Satu (i.e. Saptami) festival, the soaked grains, Naula (village). water resources) is carried and washed. At the same place an idol (puppet, effigy) of Goddess Gaura (Gamra Didi) is made using seasonal crops and plants.
