She is paired with PC Gabriel Kent on his old vigilante stomping ground, the Cole Lane Estate, and Andrea seizes the opportunity to pump PCSO Laura Bryant about Gabriel’s past on the estate. The pattern in his behaviour leads her to deduce that Gabriel has a connection with the Sun Hill sniper…

When Andrea informs Sergeant Dale Smith of her hunch, he confides that the clue to nailing Gabriel could lie in his family history, and he drops the bombshell that he believes Sergeant June Ackland is the crazed cop’s mother. Meanwhile Gabriel senses that Andrea is on to him and threatens her with violence. Is Andrea set to be next in Gabriel’s long line of victims?

Meanwhile DI Neil Manson prepares to leave his wife and move in with Andrea. As if Andrea hasn’t got enough on her plate, she is spotted by Neil talking to her editor and he later accuses her of being the station leak. Will Andrea reveal the even worse truth behind her posting at Sun Hill?
