Less than 2 weeks ago, I reviewed a pair of recovery sandals from a company called Oofos. www.oofos.com
The recovery slides were branded for the 2017 Chicago Marathon, and I instantly fell in love with them.

I sent a link to that video to my contact at Oofos, and they offered to send me another pair of Chicago Marathon Recovery sandals, but this time, they wanted to send me thong flip flops. Now that is the style of flip flop that I prefer to wear, so I was very excited to receive these.

As far as design, they are very similar to the slide version I had tried earlier. The treads are similar, the super cushy feel is the same, the way it reaches up to meet your arches is the same, and the relatively high heel height is also identical. These things all make for a very comfortable flip flop.

The footprint of the thong sandal is slightly different than the slide, but not significantly. If I had to make a choice, I'd say the footprint of the thong version looks slightly better, but they've done a good job in achieving a similar level of comfort across the two styles of sandal.

I don’t know if these actually help you recover any faster, but they sure do feel great. These are definitely going to go in my gear bag, and I will be looking forward to putting these on after the Chicago Marathon.
