This is the 16th video in my series on the newest baby gorilla at the Cleveland Zoo. The baby's name is Kunda (Kunda means Love). Kunda was born on July 19, 2023. Her mom is Kebi (Kebi Moyo) and her dad is the leader of the troop - Mokolo.
Kayembe's birthday is coming soon, he will be two years old on October 26th.

Kayembe was the first "zoo born" gorilla born at the Cleveland Zoo (CLEMETZOO).
Kunda is the second baby born in Cleveland in less then 2 years.
He is also the first baby gorilla raised by a surrogate mom from day one!

Birthdates: Mokolo 7/10/87, Fredrika 6/5/74, Nneka 9/23/98, Kebi 1/13/91/ Tusa 12/2/89, and Kayembe 10/26/21, and Kunda 7/19/23.

The Conservation status of the Western Lowland gorilla is “Critically Endangered”.
