Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's first trailer showcases Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, begging the question if he is the same as Majors' He Who Remains from the Loki season 1 finale. Majors was confirmed to be appearing as Kang the Conqueror in 2020, before appearing in Loki as He Who Remains. Given the multiversal nature of the MCU's Phases 4, 5, and 6, as well as the characters both being played by Majors, Kang and He Who Remains could be the cause of some confusion for audiences.

However, Kang the Conqueror as seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is not the same as He Who Remains, instead being a multiversal variant of the latter. In Loki, He Who Remains was revealed as the head of the TVA, with his control of the Sacred Timeline stopping the endless multiverses from colliding with one another. In doing so, He Who Remains was blocking his more cruel multiversal variants from conquering the multiverse by keeping them separated. Ant-Man 3 is expected to feature one of these variants, again played by Majors, this time going by the more fitting name of Kang the Conqueror.
